in referencing Tanah Merah’s former cliff-like vertical terrain, we endeavour to recall its past by bringing back the experience of traversing heightened vantage points. we imagine an elevated network of interconnected pathways meandering through a wooded landscape, where one may journey leisurely from the ground all the way up to, and also effortlessly cross between, the various recreational tracks high above. in between, the raised pathways dilate to form a series of suspended platforms for respite / activities. on ground, sheltered spaces beneath the “bridges” are apt for enlivening pavilions or cafes.
